Built on the official Etsy Open API — extending to more marketplaces

Find what's worth building.

A research agent that searches the marketplace, analyzes demand, competition, pricing, growth, and market gaps, and surfaces the product opportunities worth investigating — with the evidence behind every one, so your next product decision is backed by evidence, not a guess.

Not sure what to build? Find Opportunities lets the agent search on its own. Already have a niche in mind? Analyze My Idea researches it directly.

Demand and growth figures are marketplace signals derived from public listing data — never presented as confirmed sales.

The problem

Most people choose products based on assumptions.

OperTunity Analyzer replaces guesswork with evidence — turning raw marketplace listings into a structured, explainable read on where the opportunity actually is.

Features

Everything you need to evaluate a niche

Niche Discovery

Start from one keyword and OperTunity Analyzer expands it into related search terms, then pulls matching listings from the marketplace so you're evaluating a whole niche, not one product.

Demand Signals

Review counts, favorites, and listing volume combine into a Demand Proxy — an honest signal of buyer interest, never presented as confirmed sales data the public API doesn't expose.

Competition Analysis

Listing density, how concentrated reviews are among a few dominant sellers, and price clustering are measured together to show how contested a niche really is.

Price Intelligence

Median, percentile spread, and premium-tier headroom reveal whether a niche supports a healthy price range — without assuming that expensive automatically means better.

Growth Signals

Where historical snapshots exist, review growth, favorite growth, and new-listing rate show whether a niche is heating up or cooling off — labeled as a proxy, not a guarantee.

Market Gap Detection

Deterministic analysis of listing titles, tags, pricing, and review text surfaces concrete gaps: missing features, missing formats, a missing premium tier, or a repeated buyer complaint.

Opportunity Score

Demand, competition, price, growth, and market-gap signals combine into one 0–100 score with a classification from Exceptional to Avoid — plus a separate confidence rating so you know how much to trust it.

Product Recommendations

Every strong opportunity comes with a concrete starting point: a suggested product concept, feature set, and price range — all derived directly from the evidence, never invented.

Opportunity Score

One number. A clear decision framework.

Every niche is scored 0–100 by combining five weighted components into a single, explainable number — so you can compare opportunities at a glance instead of juggling five separate metrics in your head.

The score always comes with a separate Confidence rating — built from sample size, data completeness, and historical depth — because a niche can look exceptional on paper while still resting on thin data. We never manufacture confidence to make a number look more trustworthy than the evidence supports.

Opportunity Score formula

Demand Opportunity30%
Competition Opportunity25%
Price Opportunity15%
Growth Opportunity15%
Market Gap Opportunity15%

Competition Opportunity is the inverse of measured competition (100 − Competition Score) — a less-contested niche contributes more opportunity, not less. Weights are configurable in the underlying scoring engine, not hardcoded into the interface.

How it works

From keyword to decision

  1. 01

    Choose a niche or keyword

Type in a product idea. OperTunity Analyzer normalizes it and expands it into related keywords worth searching alongside it.

  2. 02

    Analyze marketplace listings

Matching listings are pulled from the marketplace, deduplicated, and classified as digital, physical, or mixed products.

  3. 03

Measure demand, competition, pricing, and growth

Reviews, favorites, listing density, price spread, and — where history exists — growth trends are turned into explainable 0–100 signals.

  4. 04

    Identify market gaps

Titles, tags, pricing, and review text are scanned for missing features, missing formats, and repeated buyer complaints.

  5. 05

Get an opportunity score and recommendation

Every signal combines into one Opportunity Score with a confidence rating, an explanation for each component, and a concrete product recommendation.

Market Gap Intelligence

See what the market is missing

Scores tell you how much opportunity exists. Market gaps tell you where it is — found deterministically from listing titles, tags, pricing, and review text, with the evidence behind every finding.

Example findings — illustrative, not a live analysis

FEATURE

Only 4% of listings mention "video tutorial" — a feature bundle emphasizing it could stand out.

FORMAT

Almost no listings offer a "Canva" format — an underused format/tooling niche.

PRICE

Very few listings target a premium price tier — room for a higher-priced, higher-quality offering.

BUNDLE

Few sellers offer a bundle/kit — packaging related items together is likely underexplored.

REVIEW

Repeated buyer complaint pattern ("wish it had") appears across multiple reviews.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

It's a research agent for finding product opportunities. Point it at a product type and depth and it autonomously searches the marketplace, expanding into related concepts as it learns what's out there (Find Opportunities) — or, if you already have a niche in mind, analyze that one directly (Analyze My Idea). Either way it collects matching listings and analyzes demand, competition, pricing, growth, and market gaps to produce an explainable Opportunity Score and a product recommendation.

Stop guessing. Start researching.

Let the research agent search the marketplace and surface opportunities with the demand, competition, pricing, growth, and market-gap evidence behind every one.
